There are many unhealthy yet delectable foods in the world today. Often times we turn to treats filled with sugar to satisfy our cravings. Most people would agree that chocolate is in the same category as any other candy, but recent studies have shown otherwise. Chocolate is much healthier for human consumption than most people think. Chocolate has even been shown to reduce the chance of having a stroke or a heart attack. The benefits  of eating chocolate are shown to out-way the negatives.
People who are concerned with their cholesterol often avoid eating certain foods. Chocolate is high in saturated fat but yields little risk to raising a persons cholesterol. It has surprisingly been proven to lower people’s cholesterol contrary to popular belief. A great majority of consumers also believe that there is an excessive amount of caffeine in chocolate. There is actually less than one tenth of the caffeine in a small cup of Coffee Bean coffee than in a Hershey’s bar. These are misconceptions about chocolate that defer people from eating it all together.
People tend to think that chocolate has no nutritional value. The average chocolate bar is packed with a variety of antioxidants. The ingredients in chocolate compare with that of green tea. Chocolate does a lot more for a person than the average “junk food”.
The way people think about everyday foods is constantly changing. It’s beneficial to be informed about what you’re putting in your body. The way that people view chocolate has changed due to all the studies shown connecting chocolate to a healthy lifestyle. Anyone can incorporate chocolate into their lives. Just like anything it is best to be enjoyed in moderation. If you give chocolate a chance it can improve your life in more ways than one. It’s something that tastes just as good as it is for you.

    Nolan, I very much agree and like this article. Most people think that chocolate is so bad for you, but yet most of the things we eat on a daily basis are much worst for us. I think that people should be able to enjoy chocolate just in a certain portion. Its good to hear that it ways out the negative so in the end we could treat ourselves with a little desert and not feel bad about it.
